Ahtna Contractors, LLC (ACLLC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ahtna, Inc. established in 2005. Ahtna, Inc. is one of the thirteen Alaska Native Corporations formed in 1972 after the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) and has over 1,500 shareholders and 1.7 million acres. Ahtna, Inc. represents eight villages in south central Alaska: Cantwell, Chitina, Chistochina, Copper Center, Gakona, Gulkana, Mentasta, and Tazlina.
Ahtna, Inc. is the parent company of fifteen (15) subsidiaries, each specializing in different fields of expertise in both private and government sectors. The collective history and experience of the Ahtna family of companies allows Ahtna Contractors the unique advantage of shared experience and corporate knowledge and provides a solid base for ACLLC growth. As a newly established company, the support and knowledge of sister companies provides a stable foundation for ACLLC.
Ahtna Contractors was established to be the primary civil and vertical construction arm of Ahtna, Inc. within the interior regions of Alaska and lower 48 states.
