Ahtna Contractors, LLC (ACLLC) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ahtna, Inc established in 2005. Ahtna, Inc. is one of the thirteen native corporations formed in 1972 after the passage of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) and has over 1,300 shareholders and 1.7 million acres. Ahtna, Inc. represents eight villages in south central Alaska: Cantwell, Chitina, Chistochina, Copper Center, Gakona, Gulkana, Mentasta, and Tazlina.
Ahtna, Inc. is the parent company of ten (10) subsidiaries, each specializing in different fields of expertise in both private and government sectors. The collective history and experience of the Ahtna family of companies allows Ahtna Contractors the unique advantage of shared experience and corporate knowledge and provides a solid base for ACLLC growth. As a newly established company, the support and knowledge of sister companies provides a stable foundation for Ahtna Contractors.
Ahtna Contractors was established to be the primary civil and vertical construction arm of Ahtna Incorporated within the interior regions of Alaska. The company had lain dormant for several years until 2008 when Ahtna Contractors became a viable competitive force within the region. During the course of the year, Ahtna Contractors has developed a reliable work force and successfully completed many different projects. Ahtna Contractors views 2008 as a modest beginning. We feel confident that we can provide quality products and services on time and on budget and maintain positive working relationships with our clients.
